Since we weren't sure how long the boys would last, we headed right to the dinosaurs.
The dinos were all life size and hidden in amongst the trees.
Logan awestruck by the moving dino.
At some of the dinosaurs, you could push buttons to make different parts of the dino move. Logan loved doing this!
The giant T Rex. Logan was doing ok until we came to this one. The dinos were all activated by sensor so when he walked by this one it started up and was so loud. He spent a lot of the rest of the time walking around with his hands over his ears.
If you look closely between the legs of this T Rex, you can see the Calgary Tower. It was funny how they've done such a good job at building up this exhibit to look like what the dino's natural habitat would have been but you just can't avoid the city in some places!
Logan walking down the path, following the dino footprints.
Walking with Grandma.
A flying dinosaur...or a bird as Logan simply put it.

The dino exhibit was cool and totally worth it! Once we made our way through, we checked out some other parts of the zoo.
We happened upon the zebras and ostrich when they were eating. This poor zebra couldn't get his head in to get any hay. He's looking pretty sorry for himself in this picture!
My attempt to get a picture of both of them on the bench...
He was quite brave on the play structure.
One of his favourite parts of the zoo...the pop machines.
Waiting in line for a train ride. He had his hand in his pocket holding onto his token, it was pretty cute.
On the train.
"Please mom, no more pictures!"
Proof that Jacob was there too...
Another of Logan's favourite parts of the zoo...the construction of the new penguin exhibit. He is pretty obsessed with construction vehicles right now. (I SO want to see penguins sometime. It's almost worth going back to Calgary for. Or does someone have a suggestion of another place I can see them?)

It was a great morning! We saw lots and tired the boys out so that they could take a nice nap for the afternoon!

I saw penguins in their natural habitat last week in Peru, that was pretty awesome.
