A New Tree

This year we decided to get an artificial tree to put downstairs for the kids to hand ornaments on in the hopes that it would discourage Norah from trashing our "nicer" tree upstairs. I'm not sure if that part of the plan worked but it's been nice having a tree downstairs since we spend so much time down here.

The kids haven' t been exposed to many fake trees...here they are getting it spread out.
He can't quite reach the top yet.
Putting it in place.
We had some blue lights we weren't using which fit perfectly.
Such a sweet moment.

I've found ornaments all over the room and they are always moving around on the tree, I think the kids really like it. Logan did ask if they could have a "real" tree downstairs next year...

Music Together Holiday Ball

I'm pretty sure I've raved on here before about how much I love the Music Together program. I've been attending classes off and on since Logan was young, they have all been exposed to it lots. This year we were able to attend their Annual Holiday Ball. A chance to get dressed up, dance, eat food and hang out with our music friends.

Norah didn't nap that day (due to another party we attended after church and before the ball) and music isn't always Jacob's thing but we all had a blast.

It got a little ugly after I took this pic but it looks cute!
Doing the Hokey Pokey.
Jacob was actually into it!
Logan too.
Logan got really into the "bird dance", they learned the moves at school during Oktoberfest.

Sleepy girl.
He ate...a lot.
Daddy isn't so much of a dancer, so mommy is in a lot of pictures.
:)
Norah got him to dance.
He's a much more "fun" dancer than mommy.

Logan gets into the action too.

Letters to Santa

One evening last week the kids wrote their letters to Santa. Logan asked for a DS game and a Wii game, Jacob asked for a remote controlled car and a Wii game and Norah asked for a "neigh". We even walked down to the mailbox to send them off!

Norah's envelope was decorated with lots of stickers!
Everyone working hard.
Logan was the only one to write his entire letter on his own.
Putting them in the mailbox!

Norah and Santa

Norah and I were at the mall this week as it opened and there happened to be no line to see Santa. She was pretty shy but was happy to sit with the elf and proudly answered Santa when he asked her what she wanted for Christmas...a neigh! Hopefully she'll be as willing when I take all the kids!

3 Kids is A Lot

They had this cut out at the tree farm. I thought it would be cute to get the kids to do it. The finished product is below, LOL.

Maybe next year I'll try again!

Christmas Tree 2014

The great Christmas tree hunt on an oddly warm and very muddy first Sunday of Advent!

We found it!

Cutting it down.
The children supervising.
Hot chocolate!
I didn't take many decorating pics...but here are a couple!

More hot chocolate and popcorn (right before she spilled hers...twice...)
