Father's Day Revisited

We didn't do too much on Father's Day. Just church and spent the day together. The kids had a few things to give to Scott though!

Karate Kid Logan

Logan finished up his session of karate last week. He seemed to quite enjoy it, so we'll think about having him do it again starting in the fall. He took a small introductory class at the rec centre this time. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves!

This is him doing "push ups", I wish I had of taken a video, haha.

Logan's Year End Picnic

Last week, I was lucky enough to go with Logan to a park near his school for the Kindergarten Picnic. My mom came over and watched Norah and Jacob and I spent the afternoon with Logan.

Logan got to pick his own group and then we walked together to a nearby park to join all the kindergarten kids from his school. There were lots of different activities at the park for them and the Tumblebus was also there. The kids were assigned a group to go on the bus but other than that they were able to roam freely through the park.

Using the sidewalk chalk.

Logan's buddy, Osman, also chalking.
Trying out the hula hoops.

There were a lot of kids! Probably close to 100!
Logan trying to decide what to do next.
It was our turn for the bus!
Inside there were monkey bars, a ball pit, a slide, a trampoline, a rock wall and tumbling mats.
Logan going down the slide.
Jumping on the trampoline.
Going through the hoop of fire.
That's him on the monkey bars.
They all did a sommersault at the bottom of the slide.
 Back outside...
Here he is playing catch with a friend and his teacher, Mrs. Burns.
Logan has talked about playing with most of the kids in his class this year but he mostly talks about Osman. Every day, Osman is included in his stories. They attended each other's birthday parties this year and we had Osman here over March Break for a playdate. Both boys are switching to French Immersion for grade 1, so they should be in the same class again!

Silly kids carried their backpacks home on their fronts.
It was a great afternoon!

Public Works Open House

Last weekend, Scott took the boys the the city's Open House. Norah and I stayed home so she could nap and so I could get stuff ready for her birthday party. Scott did take a few pictures though!

Way up in the hydro truck!

Jacob too!
This seems like a great even for Scott to keep taking the boys to!

Birthday Morning Wake Up

When Logan was a baby, I read somewhere that it was a neat idea to take a picture of your kid when they wake up on their birthday. I did it for all three on their first birthday!

Logan
Jacob
And Norah. (Who can't stand up yet)

The boys look much happier than Norah for their wake up pictures!

Norah's Birthday Party

We had a small party last weekend to celebrate Norah's birthday.

Some party decorations.
I put up pictures of a bunch of her "1sts" over the last year.

The yummy cake!
My grandma made this dress for me. I also wore it for my first birthday.
The birthday girl with her grandma.
She was really into opening the gifts!
And reading the cards.
She obviously loved this sweater from Michael and Andrea.
A pretty blanket from Grandpa.
Some of the party goers.
And some more.
Not sure what's going on...
Oh! The cake!
Staring at the flame.
Happy to have her big brother help her blow out the candle.
A very poor picture of a very yummy and fun looking dessert.
Digging into the cake.
She loved it!
Licking the plate!
Opening more gifts. (Note the outfit change)
One lucky little girl.
Hanging out with great-grandma.
Thanks to everyone who came to help us celebrate and for your support over the last year!
