Travel Day - From Winnipeg to Calgary

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload pictures during the second half of our trip so my blogging fell behind. I want to get everything documented so I'll spend the next little while doing catch up posts and letting you have a glimpse of our trip!

We left the hotel shortly after breakfast with hopes that Jacob would nap in the car. When we arrived at the airport, he hadn't napped yet. Mom dropped the boys and I off with some of our luggage and went to take back the rental car. Once she arrived with the rest of our luggage, we checked into the flight and then went to check out the airport.

Jacob finally fell asleep in the carrier so we wanted to wait as long as possible to go through security since thy typically would ask for him ot be taken out of the carrier. We wandered around and found an awesome play structure for Logan to play on. He however, had other plans when he found the arcade!

Jacob did wake up just before we went through security but they didn't even ask that he be taken out. Every airport seems to be SO different!

It was a relatively uneventful flight. Except that since Jacob had had a good nap before we got on the plane he didn't sleep during the flight. He didn't have a seat and didn't really like to be held the whole time. Logan did fall asleep on the plane, too bad he didn't pass out until the wheels hit the runway for landing...silly kid.

We got our bags and made our way through the airport to find a shuttle to take us to our hotel (The Palliser) in downtown Calgary. We found a great service which was set to leave in about 15 minutes. They had enough room for us and all of our stuff too!

We soon learned that it was our shuttle driver's first day but he did a great job navigating through the busy Calgary streets and got us safely to our destination.

I'm pretty sure the 5 min nap that Logan took on the plane wasn't long enough. He was pretty silly at dinner and requested that I take his picture!
