Christmas Tree 2009

We ventured out last Friday to pick out our tree. For the last few years, we have found our tree at Benjamin's Tree Farm just outside of Waterloo so we went there again. We bundled everyone up at home as it was the coldest day of the winter so far (but still not very cold and NO snow).

Jacob all ready to go.

Logan in the car, wondering what we are doing now.

We took the stroller with us in case Logan wasn't interested in walking or in case we had to go quite far to get the tree. He rode in the stroller (Jacob in the carrier) until we got to the tree that we had selected; I think he just wasn't sure what was going on; and then he was out and ready to help.

The tree we selected.

Logan checking it out.

Posing with the tree (Jacob was sleeping). Logan doesn't look too impressed here.

Watching as daddy cuts down the tree.

Peaceful sleeping baby. (This is mostly just proof that he was there!)

Getting ready to pull the tree to the car.

Daddy's little helper.

Logan LOVED helping Scott pull the tree back. He smiled the whole way.

This was about the point that the camera battery died. I hate how our camera never gives warning that the battery is dying and just dies. I should take the extra one with me, but I always forget.

So you'll have to just imagine, without pictures. We then had the tree shook, trimmed and put in a bag and then headed inside for some cider and cookies. I don't have the pictures from last year on this computer yet, but I remember that last year, Logan wasn't walking yet, things certainly change a lot!

When we got home, I made everyone stay in the car while I ran inside to get the other camera battery, haha.

The tree on top of the car.

Logan showing off his "McDonalds Orange Drink" face...

Sitting on the tree.

A close up.

Jacob waiting in the car for someone to rescue him. He'd been sleeping and the poor guy's eye was stuck closed, that's why it looks a bit funny.

Bringing the tree into the house.

Admiring the new addition to the living room.

Jacob watching as we try to straighten the tree.

Logan still helping...or at least trying to.

We put the star and the lights on that night but only just had time to decorate the tree last night.

And, the finished product!

What a great tree Rach! We opted for a fake one this year after our 'spider incident' last year :l I love the pic of Logan and Scott pulling the tree!
