Logan's First Day of School

Today is Logan's first day of kindergarten. We've been talking about and preparing for this day all summer and it finally came.

Last night and this morning Logan told us that he was a lot nervous and a little bit excited about going to school. We kept telling him it's ok to be nervous and that he will have a great time.

All ready to go!
Checking out his reflection in the van window, haha.
One he noticed he could see himself, I had a hard time getting him to look at the camera.
Documenting the first day.
That's a big backpack!
Walking to the bus stop.
Waiting for the bus.
There he goes!
He marched up the bus steps on his own but got a little upset once he tried to find a seat and sit down. He cried a bit and I got on and helped him get settled. I got off and as the bus drove away, he seemed to be done crying. What a big guy!

So proud of my first grandbaby going off to school so bravely! And so proud of the great job his mom and dad have done getting him this far.

Also are the backpacks that necessary for his age group? They seem so large!! I saw another little girl with one the same as L. So big it hit the back of her knees! :P
