Rainy Weekend

Things have been pretty quiet around our house this past week. The weather has been cold and rainy so we've been spending lots of time just hanging around the house.

We took Jacob to his doctor's appointment on Thursday and his weight was up to 6lbs 9.5oz. He's gained back his birthweight and then some. He's still gaining slowly but any gain is good. He's spending more time awake during the day and loves to be held.

Peaceful, sleeping baby.

Logan is still doing well adjusting to his new little brother. He always wants to say "night night" to Jacob before he goes to bed and gives him a kiss. Sometimes he'll ask to hold him during the day and other times, he'll ignore him completely.

Here are a couple failed attempts to get a picture of both boys together.

Logan has a few obsessions currently - belts, cameras, phones and choo choo. Most of our day is spent talking about or playing with any or all of those items. He loves to wear a belt and has been wearing Scott's belt wrapped around him twice, so we bought him his very own belt last weekend.
Checking out daddy's drill.

Learning how it works.

Logan and I did some baking yesterday - banana bread and peanut butter brownies. He's a pretty good helper. His favourite part though is licking the spoon at the end.

We headed out to the park to burn off some energy before it started raining. Logan chased Scott around, played on the slide, the swings and visited with some dogs that were out for a walk with their owner.

Swinging with daddy.

Jacob all comfy and sleeping during the outing.

On the big boy swing!

All by himself!

Jacob gets fussy in the evenings usually so I tried him in the swing last night. Logan never really took to the swing, always crying when I put him in but I am hopeful that Jacob will like it better. He lasted for a little bit in there last night before he started crying.

He still looks so little!
