A Rainbow and Some Puddles

My kids love their rain boots! Any excuse to go outside and splash in puddles is great for them!

You can see the kid across the street doing the same thing in this pic.

Running up and down the driveway.

Marching in a parade.

I like how you can't see their heads...just boots and umbrellas.

More Birthday Celebrations!

Grandma with the red car and Grandpa with the black motorcycle (even though it's not black) came over on Jacob's actual birthday to help us celebrate. Unfortunately, Scott had to work but he did make it home in time for most of dinner, cupcakes and some present opening!

Grandma visits with the birthday boy!

:)

Let's open some presents!

Ohh! Tools and a tool box.

Action shot.

A dinosaur puzzle!

Since Daddy was working, Grandpa got the job of figuring out how stuff worked!

Grandma was trying to read the directions while Logan and Jacob helped Grandpa rip the box open.

Cupcakes part 2!

So yummy!

Logan picked out this gift for Jacob.

A monster truck!

I was too cheap to buy more wrapping paper...newspaper it was!

Patiently waiting and watching from the sidelines.

Hurry, Grandpa, get it out!

A baby and a bathtub! He's showing everyone the baby's belly button.

Giving the new baby hugs. :)

Jacob's 2nd Birthday - Skyping with Aunt Pamela

When Pamela visited in August, she brought presents for the boys' birthdays, she's such a good planner. We arranged for her to call via Skype on his actual birthday to chat. So I brought the computer up to the living room and got out the present from her so that she could watch Jacob open it.

Here she is singing him "Happy Birthday"

They had a good chat...well as much as you can chat with someone whose vocabulary consists of "hi", "yeah", "uh oh", "bye" and a bunch of grunting!

Getting into the gift.

It's Mrs.Potato Head!

It's just like she was here with us!

Logan gets in on the action too.

Bye Aunt Pamela!

Jacob's 2nd Birthday...cont'd

So there were a few different things that happened on Jacob's actual birthday so I thought I'd split the posts up so that there isn't one HUGE one.

A while ago, I read about an idea of taking a picture of your kids when they wake up every year on their birthday to show how much they grow and change. I thought it was a really neat idea so I've been trying to do it.

Here he is on September 11, 2010.

And September 11, 2011.

I took a few...

He was quite a bit happier this year than last year.

Smiles from behind his soother.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jacob!

Wow! Time flies. Jacob turns 2 years old, today!

A reminder of what he looked like 2 years ago.

And 1 year ago.

He's changed a lot in the last year!

Happy Birthday little man! We love you!

Birthday Celebration, Part 1

Today, Scott's mom and dad came over to help us celebrate Jacob's 2nd birthday. We had a nice afternoon, dinner and then a trip to the park.

Opening his present.

He had lots of help from his big brother.

And then handed all the garbage to grandpa.

Blocks!

He started building right away.

Logan's tower.

Which one to choose next?

Since we had Scott's parents over tonight and my parents coming tomorrow, I made cupcakes instead of a cake!

What's going on?

Ooh, fire!

He did a great job blowing out the candle!

I choose, this one!

Logan and Grandma on the way to the park.

VERY proud of his ability to ride with no hands.

Jacob and his little red wagon.

Stopping to smell the dandelions.

Cute birthday boy.

Grandma pushing Logan on the swings. Logan telling her she's not doing it right.

Jacob is in a crawling phase for some reason. He is always crawling around and therefore getting dirty.

Logan preferred Daddy's method of pushing.

He said "Take a picture of my pine cone" So I did.

He was there too. :)

Playing catch with the pine cone.

Both boys pushing grandpa.

Pushing together.

They did this for a long time!

It was very cute.

Stayed tune for Part 2!
