Watching the zamboni.
Testing out his "off ice" skills.
All set to go!

I reminded him that the ice would be quite slippery and that all he had to do was try his best and then sent him on his way.
He did ok at first. He managed to get up over and over and over again without help but he usually fell pretty quickly. He would stand up with his feet SO far a part that he would have no hope in staying on his feet. He did get frustrated, I think I would have too. He spent 45 minutes out there just falling and getting back up. But he did great, didn't give up and agreed to go back again next week!

On his feet!
Trying to get up...
Almost there!
Standing again!
Feeling a bit sad near the end of the lesson.

We were very proud of Logan and happy that he wasn't one of "those" kids kicking and screaming and crawling off the ice. We'll see what happens next Monday when I tell him it's skating day again!
