Beach Day!

On Sunday, we spent a good part of the day at the Turkey Point Beach! We had planned to go the night before but when we got up on Sunday, the weather was dark and rainy. I texted my mom (who was going to come with us) and she said it was also raining at her place, so we canceled. :(

But then it started clearing, so we decided to just go! As soon as we got to Norwich to pick mom up, it was raining again and we drove though some heavy rain and very dark clouds on the way there. BUT, then it cleared! The beach was almost empty when we got there and the weather just got warmer and clearer. There was a bit of a breeze which created some waves too!

The kids took no time getting into the water.
Drilling into the sand on the shore.
Norah squealed with delight for the first while we were there. She LOVED it.
Splashing in the waves.
Daddy too!
It was brighter than this...guess my camera settings were off a bit.
Burying Jacob in the sand.
:)
Lunch break!
Just floating.
Seriously loved it.
Playing frisbee.
She was COVERED in sand.
Grandma came too!
Daddy buried them both in the sand.
That's our friend R with Logan. She is the same age as Norah.
Her parents and baby brother joined us too!
Pouring water on the sand kids.
Jacob too!
Eating some very sandy cookies.
It was a wonderful day! Hopefully we can get a few more trips in this summer!

Hanging out with Aunt Pamela and Aveet

We had a great visit with Pamela and Aveet when they were here. I didn't take many pictures, but Aveet did and was kind enough to leave them with me! All the pictures in this post were taken by him!

On our way.
Apparently they were enjoying themselves...
Not sue what else happened when they were behind us.
I'm not sure there's ever been a post with so many pictures of me!
Sisters.
Daddy and Logan.
And then we stopped to feed the ducks. Again. There were a lot. Luckily there were lots of adults so I didn't stay down at the water long!

She must have learned this from Grandma Tuumanen!

Learning to whistle with a blade of grass.
Photobomb by Norah!
Cutie.
Pushing Logan on the swing.
He told us he was going to jump off...
He did try.
Climber.
She's always drinking from someone else's water!
So glad he can pump himself this summer.
She thinks she's too big for the baby swing already.
Her dad taught her...
Poser Logan.
Pretty funny, guys.
Guess you aren't that strong.
:)
Thanks for the memories, Aveet!

Father's Day Revisited

Just some pictures of what we did on Father's Day. Scott's only requests were that we spend the day together and that we have Chinese food for supper!

The boys both made cards for Scott at school this year. I love seeing their faces as they look at the cards together.

Logan also painted a rock as a ladybug at school.
Norah gave him the pictures we took using the D A D letters.
 A few pictures before church.

The street was closed in Uptown Waterloo (the open streets festival, or something) so we wandered down after church to find some lunch.
Logan and Norah walking across the square.
Jacob was a bit grouchy.
We had sausage and hotdogs on a bun and then headed home for quiet time/naps. When everyone was rested, we went out to Waterloo Park.

A fun day together as a family!
